Lillian Bunker, wife, mother and grandmother went to her ultimate home and into the arms of our Lord on June 4th, 2008. A graduate of now defunct Foster High School in Oklahoma City, she didn't hold advanced degrees or have specific vocational training yet she lived a long and most successful life.

She was a faithful wife; a childhood sweetheart and life long partner to Jack for just shy of fifty years. She was a dedicated mom who stayed at home to a raise her son with a lot of love and a fair amount of discipline. She was a strong advocate and financier of her son's higher education by being a respected office supervisor with the New York Life Insurance Company for over eighteen years. She was a loving grandmother always ready and willing to spoil her four grandchildren. But being a committed child of God was probably her most notable accomplishment. Through many trials and heartaches she kept the faith and was a quiet, staunch follower of Christ. There is not doubt that she is spending today and eternity in the presence of Jesus. She too will be sorely missed by so many, but her memory will be with us forever. Our love for her is without question and she will live in our hearts forever.

Lillian was born on February 21st, 1921 to Ernest and Grace Crabtree in Bridgeport, Connecticut. However, she lived the vast majority of her life in Oklahoma. Her younger years were spent in the oil fields with most of her existence being spent in Del City. She is survived by her only child Jay Bunker and wife Cindy of Edmond, grandsons Jason Bunker and Jake Bunker of Edmond and granddaughter Chelsea Slone of Oklahoma City. Her brother Lee Crabtree and wife Vi live in Oklahoma City as does one nephew Mike Crabtree. She is also survived by many members of the Bunker family who openly accepted her as another one of the sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Bunker , a still born infant son, and Courtney Bunker, her granddaughter. Visitation will be held at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly in Edmond. Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday June 9th, 2008 at Cathedral of the Hills Assembly of God church, 1600 SE 15th Street in Edmond. Interment will be at Sunnylane Memorial Cemetery in Del City. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Compassionate Friends, North Oklahoma City Chapter in memory of Courtney Bunker , P.O. Box 12249, Oklahoma City, OK 73157-2249 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in memory of Courtney Bunker.

Jack Bunker, age 72, passed away Sunday, Nov 12, 1989 after a lengthy illness. He had lived in this vicinity since age 11, and was one of the original residents of Del City. He was married to Lillian Crabtree, on Dec 30, 1939. He started work with Crane Supply Co, as a truck driver and retired 43 years later as a salesman. Mr. Bunker was an avid bowler and golfer for over 50 years.

Survived by his wife Lillian, of the home; a son, Jay, of OKC; 4 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Pauline Pace and Helen Gardener, both of Del City, Ruth Gallmier and Billie Berger, both of Tulsa. In lieu of flowers donations to the Resident Fund C/O Four Seasons Nursing Home,MWC, OK 73110 would be greatly accepted.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov 15, 1989 at 11am, at the Bill Eisenhour SE Chapel, burial at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
