In 1906 Benten Boes gave the land to use for a school site.

In 1924 the two story red brick high school was built.  The school building was the pride of Owasso serving classes seven through twelve.  A gymnasium was located at the lower level to the south and above was an auditorium with a balcony.  A stage curtain, which rolled up and down featured local business advertising but in the center was painted the symbol of Owasso's "End of the Trail" with the Indian on the horse.  A well stocked library across from the auditorium on the second floor.   The library was referred to by the students as the "study hall".

The school's curriculum featured a well equipped science department, commercial study rooms featuring typewriters and other equipment for that day and age to prepare students for employment.  Courses in shorthand and bookkeeping were offered and taught by highly qualified teachers.

Unfortunately in February 1945 an unexplained fire destroyed the school leaving many of the high school students devastated to finish their education in an unfulfilled manner.
