The Last Will and Testament of William W. Pugh

I, William Washington Pugh, of the county of Noble and Territory of Oklahoma, being of sound mind and memory, do make, ordain and establish this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore in any manner made or executed.

First: It is my will and desire that out of my personal property, all my just debts including the expenses of my last illness and my funeral be paid.

Second: It is my will and desire that my cattle consisting of about fifteen head be sold, by my executor, and the proceeds of such sale after the payment of my debts be applied to the improvement of my farm in Noble county, Oklahoma Territory, the S.E. 1/4 of Sec. 22, Twp. 21 N. of R. 2 W. of Indian Meridian.

Third: I hereby give and bequeath to my wife, Laura B. Pugh, my horses and farm implements.

Fourth: I hereby give and bequeath to my wife Laura B. Pugh and my four minor children, Evelina Pugh, James Oscar Pugh, Ruth Luella Pugh and Goldie Ray Pugh, my said farm as a homestead until the majority of all of said minor children is reached; and after each of said minor children shall have reached the age of legal majority it is my will and desire that said farm and all the appurtenances thereunto being shall be inherited and distributed among each of my heirs at law as may at that time survive, under and according to the statutes of said territory, governing inheritance, descent and distribution of the estates of persons dying intestate.

Fifth: I hereby give and devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed of whatever kind or nature, and where so ever situated, whether owned by me now or acquired by me hereafter unto my beloved wife, Laura B. Pugh.

Sixth: I hereby nominate and appoint my son, R. E. Pugh of Noble county, said territory, to the executor of this will and carry its provisions into effect.

In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of Charles R. Bostick Jr. of Perry, Noble county, Oklahoma Territory, and Harry C. Ponder of Noble county, said territory which said persons I have requested to witness my signature hereto.

The above instrument consisting of three sheets including this, was at the date thereof signed, published and declared to us by the said William Washington Pugh, as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us, who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, believing the said testator to be a the time aforesaid to be of sound mind and memory.
