Hershel H. Wise, 83, of Poteau, passed away Tuesday,
May 4, 2004. He was retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Lillie
Wise; his wife, Ruby Coggins Wise; two brothers, Albert and John
Glen; a sister, Jane Ridenour; and a stepdaughter, Virginia
Miller.
Survivors include a sister, Rita Dalton of Cameron; three
very special grandchildren, Nick Lloyd and Lauren Harris, both
of Howe and Susie Francis of Poteau; six stepdaughters and
husbands, Pat and Tom Harris of Howe, Grova and Bob Pendergraff
of Dewey, Kathy and Rick Rainwater, and Linda and John Bentley,
all of Poteau, Betty and Larry Steelman of Heavener, and Helen
and Olan Winhan of Lawton; four stepsons and wives, Joe and Ruth
Davidson, John and Josie Davidson, and Gary and Sheila Davidson,
and Mike Davidson, all of Poteau; numerous other grandchildren
and great-grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones; and a
host of beloved friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8 in
Greenhill Cemetery at
Cameron with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating, under the
direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
