George Edward Reece, 39, of Wister, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Oakdale, Calif. He was born July 9, 1965 at Modesto, Calif. He was a plumber.

Survivors include his mother, Pat Blocker of California; two sons, Niko Reece and Slade Reece of the home; five brothers, Jim Reece of Poteau, Thomas Reece of Oakdale, Calif., David Reece of Riverbank, Calif., Henry Reece of Monroe and Merle Reece of Bivins, Texas; one sister, Jeanette Ashland of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at the Wister Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Frankie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery at Wister under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Quarry, Jonathan Quarry, William Quarry, Vernon Midgley, Dennis Thomas and J.C. Kuykendall.
