Opheline Myers, 88, of Shady Point, OK passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Monroe & Jessie (Keeling) Abbott of Ada, OK. Opheline was born December 11, 1924 in Egypt, OK. Opheline was united in marriage to Curtis Myers on November 11, 1944 at their preachers home in Ada. Curtis & Opheline moved to Poteau, OK in 1972 where they opened the Sonic Drive In. Opheline was a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers. Earl Abbott of Las Vegas NV, Orville Abbott of Albuquerque, NM & her twin sister, Pauline Dew of Ada, OK,

Survivors include her husband, Curtis of the home; daughter, Geraldine Haskins and husband Jerry of Ashdown, AR; sons, Don Myers & wife Judye of Mena, AR, Danny Myers & wife, Timmie of Shady Point, OK; 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey Haskins & wife, Machelle of Ashdown, AR, Tracy Womack of Ashdown, AR, Cotye Myers of Mena, AR, Brandi Sachs & husband David of Mena, AR, Justin Myers & wife Kendra of Mena, AR, Tory Myers of Rosebud, AR, Tyla Myers of Shady Point, OK; 11 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dorothy Stiles of Ada, Jean Sims of Moore, Joyce Scroggins, of Moore and brother, Richard Abbott of Duncan, OK; a host of family and friends.

Services will be 10 am, Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Shady Point Assembly of God Church with Rev. Joe Owen officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Ada, OK.  The family will be at the funeral home from 4-6 pm Sunday afternoon to visit with relatives & friends.
