Lathaniel Fowler, Sr., 74, of Rock Island,
Okla., passed away Tuesday. July 28, 2009 in
Rock Island.
He was born January 28,
1935, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was an offset
pressman. He was a member of Pocola Christian
Fellowship, an Air Force Veteran; a graduate of
Fort Smith High School, and a retired Civil
Service employee.
Funeral services were held
Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Evans Memorial
Chapel in Pocola, Okla., under the direction of
Evans and Miller Funeral Home. Rev. Eldon
Burnett officiating. Burial in
Mountain View
Cemetery in Hackett, Ark.
He is survived by his wife
of 55 years, Shirley (Muncie) Fowler of the
home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and
D.A. Myers, III, of Butler, Mo, Gayle S. and
Roger Blair, of Rock Island; son, Lathaniel
Fowler, Jr.. of Rock Island; two brothers,
Wilson W. Fowler, of Rock Island, Robert R.
Fowler, of Fort Smith, Ark.; sister and
brother-in-law, his and Davey Lee Sumners, of
Fort Smith, Ark.; one grandson and wife; two
granddaughters and husbands; numerous other
relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by
his parents. Robert L. and Charlcie (Wade)
Fowler.
