Estel L. Skelton, 75 of Heavener passed away, Sunday, December 9, 2001, in Hodges. He was a retired lumber mill worker, a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Boothe, Ark, a veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the VFW. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Survivors include his wife JoAnn of Heavener; two daughters, Carolyn Curtice of Eureka, Calif and Mona Hays of Mentone, Calif.; two sons, Gary of Willow Creek, Calif. and Mark of Clearlake, Calif.; one sister, Geraldine Strickland of Grants, N.M.; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m.. Friday, December 14, 2001 at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
