Ruby was a homemaker and the daughter of Homer Wesley and Clara Belle (Windham) Ary. Ruby married Carl Piersant in 1952, in Clovis, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren. Ruby is survived by her husband, Carl, of the home; three sons, Carl Jr. and his wife, Sandi, of Howe, Donald and his wife, Faye, of Minnesota, Richard and his wife, Dora, of Poteau; three daughters, Kathie Piersant of Poteau, Carla Ellis and her husband, Jeff, of California, and Helen Piersant of Colorado; one brother, Jack Ary of Howe; two sisters, Mildred Luman of Texas and Dortha Moore of Oregon; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of other loved ones and friends.
