Mary Roxie Cole, 80, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday,
October 22, 2005, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mary was one of ten
children born to Joseph and Susan (Hardaway) Carroll. She was
born in Limestone County, Alabama. Mary married Leonard Nathan
Cole on October 22, 1948, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mary was a
member of the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau and worked as a
LPN in the healthcare field. During her employment years, she
was a member of the Oklahoma LPN Association.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and
her nine siblings.
Mary is survived by a daughter and her husband, Trudy and
Paul Denis of Claremore, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Edwin Cole
Kunkel and his wife, Llisa, Kerry Michelle Charles and her
husband, Jason, Trevor Martinez, Cole Kunkel, Ellizabeth Kunkel,
and Eden Kunkel; several nieces, nephews, other loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 24, 2005, at
Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau with the Rev. Dale Rogers
officiating. Interment will follow at the Talihina Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of
Poteau.
