Dr. Joe Ben Woodson, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2002, in Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 10, 1926 in El Paso.
He graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy, the University of Oklahoma and Kansas City Dental School. He lived and practiced dentistry in south Oklahoma City for 35 years. He was a member of the Oklahoma Dental Society, Oklahoma County Dental Association and University of Oklahoma Alumni Association. Joe loved to travel and visited most of the countries of the world.
He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Earl Mathis Woodson; his mother, Faye Scott Woodson; and a brother, Dr. Don Earl Woodson.
Survivors include a brother, the Honorable Charles Scott Woodson and wife Betty of Drumright; one sister-in-law, Jan Woodson; and one aunt, Ruth Bartha; five nephews; one niece; and several cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22 at Baggerley-South Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in
Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Baggerley-South Funeral Home of Oklahoma City.
