John Earnest Edmond Willingham

Graveside services were held Sunday, March 27, 1988, for John "Earnest" Edmond Willingham, age 76, of Moore, Oklahoma. He passed away Friday, March 25, in Poteau, LeFlore County, Oklahoma.

The son of Toliver Brooks and Martha Louise (Jones) Willingham, Earnest was born May 25, 1911, in Anniston, Alabama. He married Vivian Louise Standridge on December 12, 1942, in McAlester, Pittsburgh County, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by brothers Earl Willingham, Sanford Willingham, and Lon Willingham.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita Ann Powell and Marilyn Schulenberg, both of Moore; six grandchildren, Carla Powell, Donna Powell, Charles Powell, Melissa Neidel, Justin Neidel, and Lori Neidel, all of Moore; three brothers, Leonard of Houston; Virgil of Poteau, and Burl of Maysville; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was at Shady Point Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Poteau.
