Avo Shepherd White
POTEAU - Avo Shepherd White, 92, of Poteau died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, in Poteau. She was born Dec. 28, 1907, in Centerville. She was a homemaker and the widow of Tommie White.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Vaughn Cemetery in Gilmore, Okla., under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by three daughters, Regina Winn and Lena Silva, both of Crosby, Texas, and Jean Watts of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Tommy of Poteau and Allen of Houston; one sister, A.G. Gibson of Taft, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
