Rosie Lucille West, 75, of Pocola, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2002, in Fort Smith. She was born April 10, 1926 in Spiro to Roy and Ethel May (Conner) Clark.
She was a homemaker and worked at Pocola Nursing Home for many years when it first opened, loved to fish, quilt and work in her yard. She adored her dog, Miss Prissy and attended the Panama Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Lou Coker of Spiro and Ronnie Sue Williams of Pocola; two sons, Ralph Junior Barr of Siloam Springs and Charles Don Barr of Fayetteville, Ark.; five sisters, Pat Coker and Joyce Clark, both of Haskell, Martha Blackwell of Panama, Dorothy Montgomery of Shady Point and Shirley May Parker of Sugar Loaf; one brother, Wesley Clark of Panama; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; numerous stepchildren, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola with the Rev. Everett Morris officiating. Burial will follow at
New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Barry Schaap, Bobby Whittaker, Larry Crossland, David Crossland, Rusty Coker and Bobby Coker.
