Dema Armina Tucker, 87, of Heavener, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in Norman. She was a longtime resident of the area, a member of the First Baptist Church, the Heavener Library Board, General Federation of Women's Clubs, and National Society of Daughters of American Revolution. She also worked for the telephone company as a switchboard operator and later for Tates as a sales clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Vernon; two sons, Stan Tucker and wife Karen of Norman and Ron Tucker and wife Bali Ree of Farmington, Ark.; one sister, Dovie Jeans and husband Carl of Amarillo, Texas; two half brothers, Roy Stanley of Los Altos, Calif. and Wendell of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; five grandchildren, Steve Tucker and Melisa, Kimberly Williamson and Bobby Amy Tucker, Sharin Tucker and Deanna Tucker; four great-grandchildren, Tristan, Landry, Trey and Taylor.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at First Baptist Church in Heavener. Burial will follow in
Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
