Artie Satterfield, 80, of Poteau, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002. She was born Feb. 26, 1922 at Hontubby. She was a former resident of Heavener, a member of the Southside Baptist Church, a homemaker and a devoted Christian.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Satterfield; and one brother, Guinn Campbell.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Wayne; one daughter, Fannie Johnston and husband Gary of Poteau; one son, Ronald Satterfield and wife Sharon of Poteau; nine grandchildren, Mike Hall, Randy Hall, Chris Hall and Alison Satterfield, all of Poteau, Jeremy Satterfield of Arlington, Texas, Jennifer Satterfield of Greenwood, Ark., Scott Satterfield of Oklahoma City, Stephanie Hyatt of Tulsa and Melissa Young of Muskogee; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Mona Barnes of Heavener, Ruth Orr of Panama and Algonia Clough of Lawrence, Kan.; seven nephews; and two nieces.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27 at Southside Baptist Church of Poteau. Burial will follow in
Hontubby Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
