Anna Elizabeth Sanders, 90, of Poteau, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002. She was born May 15, 1912 at Hugo. She was retired as a housekeeper from EOMC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Sanders; two brothers, Autry and Bill Burrows; and one son, William Doyle Barnes.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Pennington of Sommerset, Colo. and Leona Chenowith and husband Bill of Baxter Springs, Kan.; one brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Bessie Burrows of Hartford, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Southside Baptist Church in Poteau with the Revs. Jimmy D. Cook and Gary Haskins officiating.
Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
