BOKOSHE - James A. "Son" Ritter, 73, of Bokoshe died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, in Tulsa.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mallory Chapel in Spiro with burial at Old Bokoshe Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Spiro.
He is survived by one daughter, Bonita Frederick of Pocola; a son, Bobby Allen Ritter of Bokoshe; four sisters, Wanda Harrison and Betty Brewer, both of Bokoshe, Yvonne Forrester of Spiro and Evonne Kelley of Pocola; two brothers, Roy Ritter of Bokoshe and James Dean Ritter of Spiro; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
James A. "Son" Ritter, 73, of Bokoshe, passed away Wednesday,
July 3, 2002, in Tulsa. He was born June 25, 1929 at McCurtain to James
Allen and Mattie Irene (Belt) Ritter.
He was a general electrician and loved to garden and fish. He was
preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles and Don
Ritter.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonita Frederick and husband Bruce of
Pocola; one son, Bobby Allen Ritter of Bokoshe; four sisters, Wanda
Harrison and Betty Brewer, both of Bokoshe, Yvonne Forrester of Spiro and
Evonne Kelley of Pocola; two brothers, Roy Ritter of Bokoshe and James
Dean Ritter of Spiro; two grandchildren, Olen Frederick of Pocola and
Penny Jones and husband Edwin of Mountainburg, Ark.; and three
great-grandchildren, Hannah, Dillion and Ethan Jones of Mountainburg,
Ark.
Services were 2 p.m. Monday, July 8 at the Mallory Chapel with Mr. Joe
Avery officiating. Burial followed in Old Bokoshe Cemetery under the
direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers were Glen Ritter, Randall Forrester, George Harper, Michael
Blasdel, Robby Tran, Joe Henderson and Bobby Parker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Loyd Thomas and Joe Parker.
