Luther "Jack" Perdue, 76, of Keota, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, in Fort Smith. He was born March 2, 1925 at McCurtain to Charles and Bertha Brown Perdue. He was a general laborer and a member of Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church and loved to help his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marie.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Ann Pittman and husband Earl of Sallisaw; one son, Charles Perdue and wife Sharon of Spiro; two brothers, Walter Perdue of Talihina and Roland Perdue of Kingman, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Lance, Gregg and Brent Perdue, all of Spiro and Ryne Perdue of Tulsa, Amanda and Penni Pittman, both of Sallisaw; four great-grandchildren, Kalen, Joseph, Blake and Sierra Perdue, all of Spiro.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17 at the Spiro First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Williams officiating. Burial will follow in
Short Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Lance Perdue, Gregg Perdue, Ryne Perdue and Brent Perdue.
