Freddie Don O'Dell, 44, of Talihina, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003. He was born June 8, 1958 at McAlester to Omer O'Dell and Madie Moody-O'Dell. He was a graduate of Pittsburg High School and he loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed camping and sports. He worked as a nurses aide at the Talihina Veterans Center for 14 years and was currently working at Blevins Nursing Home in McAlester. He was a member of the Greenhill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Freddie Duane O'Dell and Christopher Kyle O'Dell, both of Whitesboro; five brothers, Leon O'Dell, Benny O'Dell and Bobby O'Dell, all of Kiowa, Tommy O'Dell of California and Kenneth O'Dell of Trenton, Mo.; two sisters, Patsy Sweetin of Pittsburg and Betty O'Dell of New Mexico; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Victory Baptist Church in Talihina with the Revs. Kenny Bryant and Cecil Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the
Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
