Donald Nickles, 48, of Poteau, passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002. He was born April 9, 1954 in Poteau. He was in the National Guard and was a general laborer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Joseph Nickles; and his mother, Reba Joyce Nickles.
Survivors include his wife Melva Sommerfeld Nickles of the home; his father, Clifton Nickles of Poteau; two grandsons, Austin Tyler Nickles and Dackotta Ray Nickles, both of Smithville; three sisters, Joya Dunn of Shady Point, Teresa Nickles of Coweta and Brenda Watkins of Haskell; one brother, Marvin Michael Nickles of Ellsworth, Kan.; two step sons; two step daughters; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Greenhill Free Will Baptist Church of Cameron with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in
Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
