Corina Merriett, 53, of Poteau, a homemaker, died June 8, 1999, at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau
She was born May 15, 1946, in Williams.
She is survived by husband Tom Merriett of the home; two children, Billy Gene Kenton Stafford of Poteau, and Leona Corina Palmateer of Filmore, Calif.; three grandchildren, Timothy Allen Palmateer, William Palmateer, and Charles Palmateer; mother and step-father, Modessa and Delbert Simpson of Shady Point; three sisters, Greta Osborne of Poteau, Lavon Mullins of Oaji, Calif., and (twin) Florina Leverett of Elk City; brother Virgil Goines, Jr., of Santa Paula, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, June 11, at Evans Chapel Memories in Poteau, with burial at
Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe.
Rev. Garner Poole and Rev. Clyde Hess will officiate.
Arrangements were under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
