Helen Marie Lovell, 78, of Panama, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, in Heavener. She was born May 18, 1923 at Haw Creek to Walter and Maggie (Watson) Brown. Mrs. Lovell was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Heavener and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murl Lovell; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Delenia and Larry Hayes of Claremore; one grandson, Anthony Hayes of New York City, N.Y.; one granddaughter and husband, Angelique and Mike Carroll of Tulsa; two brothers, Otis Brown and Delbert Brown, both of Heavener; four sisters, Mildred Carl of Dustin, Laverne Maxwell, Wanda Benson and Jewel Dean Holmes, all of Heavener; 43 nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Royal Oak (Poker Bend) Cemetery in Panama with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
