Lester Amos Hood was born May 30, 1909 in Lavaca, Sebastian County Arkansas, and died November 1984 in Poteau (LeFlore County) Oklahoma. He is buried in Shady Point Cemetery. Lester is the son of Columbus Green (Lum) Hood and Cora Catherine Cumming. Lester married Bessie Lee Clark. She was born February 6, 1906 in Indian Territory, LeFlore County, Oklahoma, and died January 20, 1981 in Kern County California.
