Oba Lee Gilbert, 87, of Bokoshe, passed away Monday, June 24, 2002, in Poteau. She was born Nov. 18, 1914. She was a retired store owner and lived in Bokoshe all her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gilbert in 1985 and her son-in-law, Ray Lee Bell in 1998.
Survivors include one daughter, Royce Lynne Bell of Bokoshe; two granddaughters, Celia and Jimmy Abernathy of Bokoshe and Rae Lynne Fowler of Fort Smith; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Caldwell, Brett Abernathy, Alex Abernathy, Mason Fowler and Darby Fowler; other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26 at Old Bokoshe Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Pierce officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Charles Henderson, Joe Henderson, Steve Tackett, Wayne Kroth, Jim Bob Abernathy, Rick Hall and Dick Aary.
