Services held For Long Time Resident 

Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M. Friday for Wiley Edwards, 84, resident of Poteau for the past 30 years who died Wednesday. Rites were at the South Front Street Church of Christ with Charles G. Caldwell and Jack Huff officiating. 

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery under direction of Miller Funeral Home. A native of Lamar County, Ala., Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Rosa; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lister and Mrs. Edna Baker of Houston, Tex.; five sons , Bert of Los Angeles, Roy of Winter Haven, Fla., Raymond of Wichita, Kan., Sam of Minneapolis, Minn., and Miles of Martinez, Calif.; a brother, Cleveland of Lyon, Miss., a sister, Mrs. Rachel Malone of Pickins County, Ala.; 24 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
