Florene Dees, 70, of Spiro, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2002. She was born Oct. 22, 1931 at Williams to Lonnie and Myrtle (Ward) DeWitt.
She was a homemaker and attended Birch Chapel Assembly of God for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Tommie DeWitt.
Survivors include her husband William Dees of the home; four daughters, Mary Parrish and Pamela Cole, both of Norman, Janet Farmer of Spiro and Sharon Clevinger of Wimberly, Texas; one son, William Anthony Dees of Spiro; six sisters, Oleta Helton of Shady Point, Betty DeWittt, Dessa DeWitt and Lucille Seals, all of Cameron; Doris Thomas of California and Nadene Wells of Mena, Ark.; two brothers, Johnnie DeWitt of Spiro and Donnie DeWitt of Wister; her mother, of Cameron; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 20 at the Birch Chapel Assembly of God with the Rev. Bryan Fouts officiating. Burial will follow in
Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie DeWitt, Donnie DeWitt, Joe Dees, Lynn Dees, Gary Parrish, Ron Cole, Kevin Farmer, Greg Farmer, Scott Farmer, Bryan Cole and Spenser Cole.
