Melva Jean Collins, 45, of Talihina, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2002. She was born Jan. 7, 1957 in Littleville, Texas to Melvin and Edna Craig. She was a housewife and lived in Talihina most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Collins of the home; three sons, Randal Craig of Fort Smith, Terrell Dry of Atlanta, Ga. and Michael Collins of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Melinda Hicks of Spiro, Amanda Collins and Samantha Collins, both of Wilburton; six grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Coldiron of Ector, Texas; two brothers, Rocky Craig of Muse and James Craig of McAlester; as well as numerous 'adopted children' nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 1 at the Old Talihina City Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis McClard officiating, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
