Elizabeth June Chaplin, 72, of Wister, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Pocola. She was born Sept. 15, 1930 at Hodgen. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Chaplin.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leon Glenn of Poteau; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Joy Chaplin of Wister, Tim and Rene Chaplin of Poteau and Mike and Janice Graham of Coweta; one brother, Tommy Joe and Judy Duncan of Vian; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Southside Baptist Church in Poteau with the Rev. Dale Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in
Maxey Cemetery at Wister under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Steve Akers, Steve Morris, Todd Peters, Frank Carpenter, Lanny Akers and Jim Seale.
