Graveside services for Islahrea Dunn Carter, 82, of Poteau, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Oakland Cemetery, with Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. 

Mrs. Carter was born December 11, 1918, in Hartford, Ark. She died Sunday, September 16, 2001, in Poteau. 

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Toni and Abbie and Carlton; one son and daughter-in-law, Floyd "Lawson", Jr. and his wife Nancy; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister,Ada Marie; two brothers, Walter Jr. and Harold; several other relatives and friends.
