Ruth R. Cagle, 96, of San Luis Obispo, Calif., formerly of Heavener, passed away Friday, July 26, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Arroyo Grande, Calif. and County Seniors and Golden Age Senior Club. She enjoyed traveling, particularly cruises. She was referred to as a "globe trotter" by friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer in 1964; one son, J.W.; and two grandsons.
Survivors include four daughters, Marcene Brown and husband Marion and Ernestine Forister and husband Lowell, all of Grover Beach, Calif., Janice Washipack and husband Calvin of Arlington, Va., Mary McCallister and husband Mac of Livingston, La.; three sons, Bill Cagle and wife Sue of Mooresville, N.C., Glen Cagle and wife Charlene of Borger, Texas and Roger Cagle and wife Cindy of London, England; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Wednesday, July 31 at Dowden Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
