Marion Jack Bledsoe was born November 24, 1928 at Bokoshe, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. He died May 18, 1972, at
LeFlore County Memorial Hospital, Poteau, Oklahoma. He was the son of Fred and Altie Gamble Bledsoe.
Funeral services were held Sunday May 21, 1972 on Shady Point at the Assembly
of God Church with Rev. Myrle Fox and Rev. E. L. Estep officiated. Burial will be at the
Shady Point Cemetery by Evans Funeral Home.
He was a Korean War Veteran. A loving Father and Grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Altie Bledsoe.
He is survived by his wife Betty May Barnes Bledsoe; a son Rudy Bledsoe, Castro Valley, Calif.; daughter,
Mrs. Frances Carol McDonald. Shady Point; two grandsons Dwayne and Dewight McDonald of Shady Point. His Father
Fred Bledsoe, Shady Point; three sisters, Mrs. Violet
Holdridge, Concord Oklahoma, Mrs. Mildred French, Santa Clara, Calif. and two brothers;
Cecil and Virgil Bledsoe both of Shady point, Oklahoma.

Volcie Lucille (Hill) Bledsoe Carter
Volcie Lucille (Hill) Carter, 73, of Penn Valley, Calif., passed away Saturday, May 3, 2003. She was born Dec. 31,
1929, in Lexington, Missouri, to Clarence & Opal (Bookhart) Hill.
She was a loving Wife & Mother. She was preceded Ii life by a
Brother, Clarence Hill.
Survivors include her husband, William Carter of the home; one brother, the Rev. James E. Hill of Poteau; two daughters, Frances Carol McDonald of Bloomer, Ark. and Renee' Minners of Holister, Calif.; two sons, Rudy Bledsoe of Santa Barbara, Calif. and Alex Scott Lyles of the home; a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved
friends.
Final resting place is Oak Hill Memorial Park San Jose, California,
May 9,2003.
A memorial service will be held at the Northside Christian Church in Poteau on Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m.
