Mrs. Effie Anna Lee Beshears, born January 17,1888 near Greenwood Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Wesley & Alice Bell ( Hacker) Reed. She passed away in LeFlore County Memorial Hospital, September 9, 1968. 

She came to Shady Point in 1930 and lived there until her death.

Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 11, 1968 in the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Poteau with Rev. George House, Poteau; Rev. Bud Anderson, Panama and Rev. E.L. Estep, Shady Point, officiating.

Burial was in Shady Point Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.

She is survived by eight daughters, Ola Hlebakos of Petaluma, California; Elva Festa, Willie Mae Ortiz and Ollie Duarte all of Manteca, California; Delpha Russell of Sougus, California; Ona Holstead, Addie Anderson, and Jessie McConnell; one son Homer Beshears all of Shady Point; Twenty three grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren. Her grandsons were pallbearers.
