Grace Rhodes Ward, 96, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was a retired elementary school teacher for 55 years. She taught in Arkansas and Oklahoma and was a member of Retired Teachers Association in Arkansas and Oklahoma and the East Side Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She was the widow of William Ward. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Spiro. Pallbearers will be Joe and Raymond Rhodes, Riley Sampson and Billy Autry. Memorial contributions may be made to East Side Baptist Church General Fund, 2710 Massard Road, Fort Smith, AR 72903.
