Jimmy Wayne Thompson Jr., 32, of Pocola died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a painter for Travelers Contracting and Painting Co. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis and Ruby Thompson and Willie and Inez Brand.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Pocola with burial at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

He is survived by a daughter, Brianna Thompson of Van Buren; a son, Austin Thompson of Arkoma; his parents, Jim and Pauline Thompson of Pocola; a sister and brother-in-law, Sondra and Wayne Stites of Pocola; a niece, Brittany Jenkins of Pocola; a nephew, Devin Stites of Pocola; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
