Elvin Strain

Spiro - Services for Elvin Strain, 61, Spiro, who died Tuesday at the St. Edward Medical Center, will be held at 2 pm Friday at the Arkoma First Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Swain officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery by the Evans Funeral Home.

Born Jan 30, 1918 in Spiro, he was a First Baptist Church member at Arkoma, a lifelong resident of the Spiro and Arkoma area and construction worker.

Survivors include his wife, Leota Strain; three sons, Jerry of Waldron, Ark., Larry of the U. S. Marine Corps, and Garry of Granite City, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Masterson of Kansas and Mrs. Dude Campbell of Spiro; three brothers, Ray, Buster and Everett Strain, all of Spiro, and three grandchildren.
