Ollie M. Stovall, 82, of Fresno, Calif., formerly of Shady Point, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2003. She was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church and worked as a mail contractor in San Joaquin Valley of California for many years before her retirement. She then enjoyed many adventures traveling, fishing and time gardening on her small farm in Oklahoma. She was adamant about knowing that her children and grandchildren "walk in truth" that the Word might be carried on in future generations.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John H. Stovall; her parents; two sisters, Zora and Minnie; and three brothers, Tom Jr., Grover and Ernest.

Survivors include one daughter, Robbie Steinhauer and husband Marvin of Fresno, Calif.; one son, the Rev. Howard Stovall and wife Marilyn of Madera, Calif.; five grandchildren, Leslie Henderson and husband Larry, Laurie Blue and husband Jeremy, Diana Lagier, Pamela Shepherd and husband Jason and John David Lagier and wife Tiffany; seven great-grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Samantha, Stephen, Alyson, Conner and Zoey.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12 in Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Poteau.
