Beulah E. Reed, 91, of Howe, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born June 5, 1911 at Mansfield, Ark. She was a homemaker, a minister's wife and a member of the Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe where she and her husband, the late Rev. William Haskell Reed, pastored for more than 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, William and Willie (Jenkins) Cain; one son-in-law, John Carter; one grandson, Don Haskell Reed; one granddaughter-in-law, Donna Jane Reed; one grandson-in-law, Lee Hill; and one great-grandson, James Ryan Crouch.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Melba Carter of Harrah and Kathryn and James Crouch of Monroe; one son and daughter-in-law, W.H. "Sonny" and Erma Reed of Monroe; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe with the Revs. Joe Haden Hall, Leroy Billy and Brian Vandever officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Pallbearers will be Jim, Danny and Ricky Crouch, Donnie Reed, John Paul Carter and Dewayne Reed.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Reed, M.L. Reed, Darrell Bookout, Ronnie Riggs and her great-grandsons.
