E.C. (Buster) Plummer, 80, of Poteau, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2003. He was born May 24, 1922, at Winfield, Ark. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, a member of the Tax Excise Board, the school board and the EOMC Hospital Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmore and Annie (Crutchfield) Plummer; two sisters, L.C. Roy and Winnie (Dutchie) Hendricks; and one brother, Bob Plummer.

Survivors include his wife, Mozelle of the home; one daughter, Linda Pugh of Houston, Texas; two sons, Everett Plummer and Paul Plummer, both of Poteau; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nera Pickle of Poteau; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 at Evans & Miller Funeral Home

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 at Southside Baptist Church at Poteau with the Rev. Dale Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Pallbearers will be Bud Killion, Olin Hollan, J.R. Spearman, Art Drury, Alan Vickers and Larry Tustin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Olin Faulkenberry, Doug Kemp, Joe Martin, Lance Smith, Carroll Rogers, Aud Balentine, Rodney Cauthron, F.L. Holton, Glendon Chester, Jeff Shockley and Bob Free.
