Jr. Oswell, 78, of Poteau, passed away Friday, July 11, 2003. He was born Feb. 12, 1925 at Paragould, Ark. He was a carpenter-general laborer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Oswell and Grace Fowler Oswell Johnson; one daughter, Becky King; one sister, Lenora Riggs; and brothers, G.W. Wayne Johnson Sr. and Clifford Oswell.

Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; three sons, Glen Oswell of Clayton, Samuel Howard McQuillan of Angola, Ind. and Robert McQuillan of Poteau; three daughters, Judy King and Karen Roby, both of Crowder and Pat Smith of Poteau; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, ZaZa McKaslin of Salina, Kan.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Revs. Bill Burgess and Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in LeFlore Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Pallbearers will be Donny Amos, Jim McCormick, Aarron Johnson, Wayne Johnson and Sammy McQuillan.
