Cecil Morrison

HEAVENER — Cecil Allen Morrison, 56, of Heavener died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, in his home. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with burial at Hontubby Cemetery in Heavener.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; four daughters, Lea Trejo and Penny Matthews, both of Heavener, Leslie Morrison of Poteau and Annett Cosby of Texas; two sons, Jimmy Morrison of Heavener and Wayne Matthews of Talihina, Okla.; three sisters, Alice Gullick and Sherley Stormitt, both of Poteau, and Christine Smith of Mena; three brothers, Robert and Gary Morrison, both of Heavener and James Morrison of Howe; and 14 grandchildren.

Cecil Allen Morrison, 56, of Heavener, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2003. He was a longtime resident of the area and a veteran of the Vietnam era.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; four daughters, Lea Ann Trejo and Penny Matthews, both of Heavener, Leslie Morrison of Poteau and Annett Cosby of Texas; two sons, Jimmy Morrison of Heavener and Wayne Matthews of Talihina; three sisters, Alice Gullick and Sherley Stormitt, both of Poteau and Christine Smith of Mena, Ark.; three brothers, Robert and Gary Morrison of Heavener and James Morrison of Howe; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Burial will follow at Hontubby Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
