Opal Ollie Morgan, 86, of Spiro, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003. She was born Dec. 27, 1916 at Spiro to John and Loretta (Johnson) Hood. She was a member of the Birch Chapel Assembly of God Church, a health care provider, homemaker, a devoted mother and mama. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Elmer Rogers and Russell Morgan; two sons, Bill Rogers and John Rogers; one grandson, John Wesley Rogers; two sisters, Laura Rogers and Zetta Fowler; and one brother, Granville Hood. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Moore and husband Jim of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sons, Carl Rogers and wife Marsha of Spiro, and Royce Rogers and wife Helen of Shafter, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at the Mallory Chapel with the Rev. Gary Waldren officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro |
