Edna Bertha Darlene Mackey, 82, of Spiro, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Sept. 15, 1920 at Flower Hill, to Edgar and Martha (Cagle) Brewer. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Margaret Sparks; five sisters, Eva Smith, Ella Mae Prock, Ruby Pike, Ila Dee Tedford and Flossie Mae Brewer.

Survivors include her husband the Rev. Robert Eligah Mackey of Muldrow; two daughters, Loretta "Tammy" Munson and husband Allen of Sallisaw, and Bernice Avery and husband Vendall of Spiro; son-in-law, Charles Armon Sparks of Fort Smith, Ark.; two brothers, Cleo Brewer of Vancouver, Wash. and Albert Brewer of Spiro; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 at the Eastside Full Gospel Church with the Revs. Cotton McKinney and Wesley McLaughlin officiating. Burial will follow in Old Cache Cemetery under the direction of the Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.

Pallbearers will be Monty Mackey, Robert Sparks, Allen Munson,, Scott Sharp, Lee Avery, Keith Avery, Justin Sharp and Armon Sparks.
