Ruby Evelyn Hutson, 80, of Spiro, passed away Friday, March 7, 2003 at Sallisaw. She was born Oct. 29, 1922 at Spiro to Clarence and Lillian (Harvey) Snawder. She was a member of the Tucker Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, beloved sister and cherished friend to all who knew her. Ruby's greatest joy came from spending time with and caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Georgia Belle Harper and Ruth Williams; and one grandson, Michael Lynn Hutson.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years Billy Hugh Hutson of the home; two daughters, Judy Dunn of Spiro, and Paula Rogers and husband Gary of Spiro; one son, Eddie Hutson and wife Evelyn of Barling, Ark.; three sisters, Billie Crockett of Fort Smith, Paula Lemieux of Frisco, Texas and Bettye Sue Israel of Spiro; one brother, Eldon Snawder of Prague; four grandsons, Mark Hutson, Joe Don Dunn, Dustin Dunn and Jason Rogers; one granddaughter, Jocelyn Rogers; four great-grandsons, Ethan Hutson, Dillion Hutson, Slater Dunn and Paden Dunn.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 10 at the Tucker Church of Christ with Mr. Taylor Joyce officiating. Burial followed in Cowlington Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.

Pallbearers were J.B. Adams, J.G. Gist, Davis Kelly, James Cox, Wendell Hull and Larry Maxwell.
