William "Roy" Hood, 82, of Bokoshe, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Tulsa. He was born Jan. 23, 1920 in Panama. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Bokoshe, a welder, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the VFW and a lifelong resident of Bokoshe. Survivors include his wife Lula Mae Hood of the home; three daughters, Carol Ann James, Nadine Tackett and Sandra Kay Sides, all of Bixby; one brother, Odell Hood of Bixby; two sisters, Trebreh Brown of Bokoshe and Dorothy and Eddie Mos of Independence, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Jesse Fesperman of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and loved ones and many loved friends. Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, April 23 at Old Bokoshe Cemetery Pavilion with Mary Sue Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
