Doris Holmes, 91, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Howe and Fort Smith,
Ark., passed away Friday, July 4, 2003. She was born March 18, 1912 in
Booneville, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Holmes.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Alene and Boyne Holman of
Wichita, Kan.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Mankins of Wichita, Kan.;
three nieces; two nephews; other relatives and loved ones.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 9 at
Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Services will be held at 10 am Thursday, July 10 at Oakland Cemetery
Pavilion in Poteau with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will
follow in Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Evans &
Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
