Watt Hale, 78, of Poteau, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2003. He was born Jan. 3, 1925 at Cameron. He was a truck driver for Cherry Wholesale Co. of Poteau. His greatest love was his family and he loved to make them laugh. He loved working at his job.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Melinda Hale; four brothers, Arthur Hale, Josh Hale, Harm Hale and Lucius Hale; and one sister, Emma Guatney.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Hale of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona and Donald Hargrove and Audrey and Gary Goodwin, all of Poteau; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Debbie Hale of Wister and Audie and Mary Hale of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister, Jencie Marshal of Porterville, Calif.; two brothers, Johnny Hale of Bushnell, Fla. and Willie Hale of Poteau; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and loved ones; and many beloved friends.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion in Poteau. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery at Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
