William A. "Al" Freeman Jr., 90, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2003. He was a former resident of Heavener, a member of the First Baptist, a veteran of World War II, a retired brakeman for the KCS Railroad, a member of the United Transportation Union, and a retired bus driver for the Heavener School.

He was preceded in death by his wife Fern; his parents; one son, Gary; two sisters, Belle Riggins and Mary Wofford.

Survivors include two daughters, Merrellyn Condo and husband Richard of Fairfield, Ohio and Ramona Blanton and husband Bill of Galveston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 2 in Hamilton, Ohio. No services are planned in Heavener. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 4 at Dowden Funeral Home in Heavener.
