Carolyn Edwards, 54, of Poteau, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 30, 1948 at Poteau. She attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau and was a home health care provider. She worked all her life and she was a wonderful mother and grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dean Edwards; her parents, Leslie Andrew and Maudie Marie (Latta) Edwards; and one sister, Maude Edwards. Survivors include two children, Camilla and John King and Robert and Janee Wellman, all of Poteau; four grandchildren, Amber King, Trenton Wellman, Kaleigh Wellman and Julie Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion at Poteau with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
