Jessie Detamore, 94, of Oklahoma City, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001.
She was born April 19, 1907 in Skullyville. She was a retired nurse.
She loved to shop at Wal-Mart and loved her children and
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee Detamore; a son,
Joe Detamore; a twin sister; and a son-in-law, Robert Sisco.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Eugenia and Roy
Whistle of Midwest City; three sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and
Betty Detamore of Texoma, Tom and Judy Detamore of Moore and John and
Mary Detamore of Oklahoma City; one daughter-in-law, Betty Detamore of
Spiro; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 11
great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 at Evans Chapel of
Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Burial will
follow in Shady Point Cemetery
under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
